Friday 20th March

10am Mass will be celebrated in church; it will not be followed by Adoration. This is to reduce the length and proximity of social contact.

In line with CBCEW guidance there will then be no further public liturgies. (Stations of the Cross cancelled in the evening)

Saturday 21st March onwards

Fr. Santosh will celebrate daily Mass in private.

Church will be open daily for private prayer Mon – Sat 10am to 11am and Sunday 10am – 12noon. Suitable hygiene and distancing measures to be taken.

Home visits to take the Eucharist to the housebound will be suspended, as these could endanger the minister or the recipient.

Pastoral visits by Fr. Santosh may be requested, but will be strictly controlled subject to the medical status of the household involved.

Confessions on request when church is open, subject to hygiene and distancing measures.

Gifts for the food bank may be taken to Thornensians Rugby Club on Wednesday mornings.

Donations in lieu of collections may be left when church is open. However, please consider setting up a standing order with your bank. This is very easy to do, especially if you have on-line banking, and you remain fully in control of the amount donated at all times. It also reduces the work for our financial volunteers and is more secure, especially in the current circumstances. Please ask Tony, Paul or Maria for details of how to proceed.

Watching Mass on the TV/internet is encouraged; one source is www.shalomworld.org/dailymass
